Nikita Golyshev

In the beginning of 2003 CD-R quickly became the one of the most promising electronic musicians on the Russian underground scene. His output progressed from rhythmic noise mayhem to diverse and heterogeneous experiments, ranging from machine improvisation through bleak drones to pure processed acoustic minimalism. He released some CD-Rs and published many works online, as well as on Musica Excentrica (as CD-R and as Nikita Golyshev).

CD-R music was focused on various forms of experimental music, from harsh noise to intelligent glitch and ambient. Genre “digital noise” was used at the first time by CD-R in 2004. As a source for my music I used a collages of self-record and processed synth samples, field recordings and movie samples.
